Individuals, business groups, industry organisations and politicians across the UK have shown their support for Heathrow expansion as the best option for the UK’s future.
In fact, there were over 58,000 responses to the Airports Commission National Consultation supporting Heathrow. These made up 82% of all responses.
Local business groups and residents have shown their support for Heathrow expansion for the benefits it will bring to their areas.
Local support for Heathrow includes Slough Council, Hounslow Chamber of Commerce, 100,000 Back Heathrow members and more.

Across the UK
Over 30 Chambers of Commerce, the majority of members of the CBI and Institute of Directors, trade associations, including the manufacturers’ organisation (EEF), Freight Transport Association (FTA) and British American Business (BAB) and Trade unions, including Unite the Union and GMB – support Heathrow expansion.
69% of MPs polled, in a recent DODs poll, also said that they could support Heathrow expansion.
