Do you know anyone who’s looking to return to professional employment after an absence of two years or more? Following the success of last year’s Heathrow Career Returners Programme, applications are now open for 2019.
For any number of reasons – by choice or unplanned circumstance – anyone can find themselves out of a professional role for an extended period. Many of us will know someone in that position.
And once in that situation, it can be challenging and even daunting for the individual to take those all-important first steps back into the world of work.
Among the intake in our inaugural Career Returners Programme in 2018 was Lisa Andersen, who has since gone on to be promoted to the position of IT Risk & Assurance Manager.
Applications now open for the 2019 programme…
In 2019, we’re now offering a new structured six-month opportunity across a range of departments.
Successful applicants will take on a vacant job role, or tackle a stand-alone project, with a view to gaining a permanent position with Heathrow on completion.
Think you know someone who might be interested?
Be sure to let them know that applications are now open until 20 September on our Heathrow Careers website (see links below to individual job roles) and through our partner – Women Returners – an organisation that supports all, regardless of gender.
We are looking to recruit a minimum of six returners in 2019, at a managerial level, within the following functions:
- Change Programmes (Project Magenta)
- Project Management – Construction
Candidates who successfully complete an online application, including CV and pre-screening questions, will be invited to a networking event later this month. This will provide a more relaxed environment for applicants to initially meet recruiting managers, giving them a chance to shine.
