Airbus A380 – The Superjumbo
The “big bird” of the skies! The A380 is the largest commercial passenger aircraft in the world and is easy to identify by its size, four engines, and twin-deck layout.

Boeing 787 Dreamliner
The Boeing 787 Dreamliner series is quickly becoming one of the most popular aircraft for airlines due to a combination of its fuel efficiency, seat capacity and flight range. There are three different models of Dreamliner in use: 787-8, 787-9, and 787-10.

The Boeing 777 was the third most used aircraft at Heathrow in 2017. It is one of the largest twin-engine aircraft in commercial use in the world. There are two different 777 models: 777-200LR, 300ER.

Boeing 747 – The Jumbo Jet
The original Jumbo Jet – the Boeing 747 – is one of the most iconic aircraft models in the history of aviation. While the 747 has seen reduced use at Heathrow in recent years it is still used by British Airways and Air Bridge Cargo at heathrow. The aircraft can be easily identified by its partial upper deck at the front of the aircraft and its large size including four engines.
There are two different types of Boeing 747 in use today at Heathrow: 747-400F, 747-800F.

Airbus A350 XWB
The Airbus A350 /XWB is one of the newest aircraft models to be used at Heathrow and is amongst the cleanest and quietest commercial aircraft ever made. There are two versions of the A350 XWB in use: A350-900, A350-1000.
Airlines flying the A350 at Heathrow: Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, Finnair
The Airbus A320 is the most used aircraft at Heathrow accounting for over 150,00 of the 480,000 flights each year! The A320 is part of a “family” of aircraft including the A319 and A321, while the A320neo is the most modern version.
