On Day 2 of our Christmas #12daysofexports 2018 we’re celebrating the adventure clothing extraordinaires – Armadillo!
This UK based business was founded in 2011 after co-founders Andy Caughey and Hamish Morrin saw soldiers returning from conflict zones with avoidable injuries and burns from the clothes they were wearing.
Today, Armadillo produces clothing that is created to survive the most severe conditions – with their products worn by professionals operating in some of the highest risk places and environments on earth, and even in space!
They make clothing that does not melt or drip if it burns, does not smell, is comfortable, keeps you warm when it is cold and helps to cool you when it is hot.
Armadillo now exports their goods to customers in Australia, Canada, Singapore and the USA – and all via Heathrow!
In fact, this year they’ve seen a 40% increase in exports via the UK’s hub airport!
