Introducing American Airlines new fleet
After taking delivery of 112 new aircraft, more than any other airline, in 2015, American are expecting another 84 to arrive this year – an average of one new plane every four days! They now have the most new planes of any airline in the world and the news gets even better for passengers when you look inside each one…
American’s new planes flying from Heathrow offer a host of amenities including Transatlantic Wi-Fi, Live TV, over 250 movies on demand and power ports at every seat. Plus, if you’re travelling in First or Business Class, American now offers fully lie-flat seats, all with direct aisle access, on every flight from Heathrow.
Between now and 2020 the airline will take delivery of over 500 new aircraft!
These new aircraft are part of an ongoing US$3 billion investment in customer experience which also includes upgraded menus, amenity kits, and airport and lounge facilities.

In 2016, American begins service to Auckland from London, via Los Angeles – with both flights being operated by brand new planes. In addition, they offer 19 daily flights from London Heathrow to New York JFK, Los Angeles, Dallas/Fort Worth, Chicago, Miami, Charlotte, Philadelphia and Raleigh-Durham.
