#HeathrowElf and 12 Days of Christmas

To celebrate Christmas in 2013, we sent out our very own Heathrow Elf during the 12 Days of Christmas for our travelling social media fans to seek out for prizes. The activity has finished but you can read about the Christmas cheer below.

We love Christmas, so to celebrate we’re hosting our very own 12 Days of Christmas across the Heathrow Airport social media channels and giving away prizes to lucky passengers in our terminals. The grand prize – two Virgin Atlantic return tickets to Edinburgh and a Kindle Paperwhite!

Beginning last Friday, we’ve been sending out the #HeathrowElf to one of the terminals each day to give away a Christmas gift. We’ll continue to do this through until the 24th of December.

We’ve got a host of exciting Christmas goodies for you all thanks to Mastercard, Ted Baker, Harrods, WHSmith, Dixons, Cath Kidston, and World Duty Free.

Our friends at Heathrow Express have also given us five cameras and 10 free journey passes, while there’s a £250 shopping experience available with Heathrow’s personal shoppers on Day 11.

Thanks to the children’s film The Snowman and The Snowdog we’ll be having character appearances in the terminals for the kids as well as giving away a festive fun hamper as well.

How do I find the #HeathrowElf?

It’s simple – all you have to do is follow @HeathrowAirport and we’ll be giving out clues each morning as to where the #HeathrowElf will be that day. Keep an eye on the tweets and hunt the elf down fast to win!

Not travelling? Fear not, we’ll also be running a competition on our Facebook page, with the Virgin Atlantic flights up for grabs! All you have to do is enter in your details and you’re in the draw to win.

What has the #HeathrowElf given away already?

We’ve already had three days of #Christmas fun as part of our campaign and here are the lucky recipients of the #HeathrowElf’s in-terminal treats:
