It has been announced today that John Lewis will open its doors within ‘Terminal 2: The Queen’s Terminal’ on 4 June 2014.
Significantly, John Lewis will be the first department store chain to open an airport shop in the UK.
Over £1million pounds will be invested by the British stalwart, with designer and John Lewis Brand products alike to feature in the store.
The store will be the first impression for jetsetters passing through security on the top floor of the departure lounge, and will generate around 40 new jobs.
Passengers from around 180 worldwide destinations make use of the retail space at Heathrow each year.
John Lewis currently delivers to 33 countries outside the UK and Ireland which equates to 75 per cent of Terminal 2 destinations.
